“Every class I have is small. The teachers can actually focus
on you and you learn at a personal level.”

Teaching and Learning
Woodford House attracts dedicated teachers who are experts in their
field and have a genuine interest in young people. As such, our staff make
a commitment to maximising the potential of all girls. In doing so, we
aim to support critical thinking and intellectual rigour.
We use best practice research to review our learning environment and urge
our students to keep their courses broad, embrace challenges and pursue
passions. The latter can be a significant source of energy and motivation
to develop a sense of what it means to be a life-long learner.
Information and Communication Technology is a fundamental part of the way
we work at Woodford House. We develop and maintain state of the art computer
and network systems, connecting us around our school, and to the world.
Accessibility is essential with computers in our dedicated suites, study
areas and library, providing one of the highest computer per student ratios
in the country.
“Teachers at Woodford are highly skilled individuals who
are a walking, talking reason to learn – each has his/her own unique
personality that creates variety and a stimulating environment.”
